Facts about Queen Elizabeth II

The Queen has reigned over us for 60 years. She was on tour in Africa when she heard her father had passed away. She likes activities like horse riding, swimming and reading. She loves meeting children. She has four children - Charles, William, who got married last year, Anne and Edward. She has had a Silver Jubilee, a Gold Jubilee and this year she is having a Diamond Jubilee.

ReplyDeleteYou did learn a lot about the Queen last week! Do you know, I remember when Prince Andrew and Prince Edward were born! That shows how ancient I am, doesn't it? I think the churches rang their bells to show how happy we were at another prince being born. I can remember Princess Anne getting married. It was on a Thursday and we all had a day off school.
